And if haven't completed the prerequisite courses, D'Youville offers those courses periodically throughout the year along with our traditional BSN program.

"At Spectrum Health & Human Services, I met with willing patients to establish a therapeutic alliance whilst protecting patient rights and maintaining privacy when collecting physical and mental health histories, differentiating abnormal/normal findings, and analyzing presenting patient symptoms and concerns. 

My preceptor at Spectrum was always involved, truly cared about my learning objectives, encouraged evidence-based practice, inspired and motivated me to leave my comfort zone throughout the semester in order to meet the necessary milestones of my skills and knowledge in becoming a competent practitioner. The Accelerated BSN program is designed to connect you to your nursing career quickly. In order to ensure students are prepared for the program, students must have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.75 and have successfully completed the following courses with a grade of C or better within the last 5 years of application to the program:

• Human Anatomy with Lab (all body systems)
• Human Physiology with Lab (all body systems)
• Microbiology with Lab
• Chemistry with Lab
• General Psychology or General Sociology
• Statistics
• Pathophysiology
• Developmental Psychology (birth to death)
